PT 546L - Functional Human Neuroscience II Lab


Prerequisites, enrolled in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, successful completion (with a grade of C or better) of PT 510 PT 525 PT 536 PT 536L . Corequisites, PT 527 , PT 546 . The purpose of the course is to augment and supplement PT 546 in facilitating student physical therapists’ understanding of the human nervous system with particular emphasis on aspects germane to clinical practice and related research. This course builds upon the foundation established in PT 536  and PT 536L  by expanding upon students’ understanding of the human nervous system and the inter-relationships between structure, function, neuroimaging, related pathologies, and current findings in the scientific literature. Students will engage in interactive laboratory sessions, problem-solving activities and clinical reasoning exercises, case studies, and discussions of the current findings in the literature. Letter grade. (Offered as needed.) ½ credit
