PT 546 - Functional Human Neuroscience II


Prerequisites, enrolled in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, successful completion (with a grade of C or better) of PT 510 PT 525 PT 536  and PT 536L . Corequisites, PT 527 PT 546L . This course builds upon the foundation established in PT 536 . After gaining an understanding of the relationships between structure and function in the nervous system, students will focus on the inter-relationships between the various systems. Three-dimensional relationships and functional connectivity will be examined in detail with the ultimate goal of developing the ability to relate lesion location to presenting deficits and findings. Clinical reasoning and problem solving are facilitated through case studies, clinical scenarios, neuroimaging, and discussions about the current literature. Letter grade. (Offered as needed.) 3 credits
