MATH 351 - Nonlinear Dynamics With Application to Science and Engineering

Prerequisite, MATH 350  or EENG 310 , or equivalent. Students study nonlinear ordinary differential equations and learn techniques to analyze properties of such equations while being exposed to analytical tools to analyze a wide variety of natural phenomena in science and engineering. Students will learn stability analysis, bifurcation theory, geometric methods in dynamical systems, connect theory to applications while being introduced to the Chaos theory. Letter grade with Pass/No Pass option. This course may be repeated for credit. (Offered every year.) 3 credits
