EENG 310 - Mathematical Methods for Physics and Engineering


(Same as PHYS 310 .) Prerequisite, MATH 215 . Students are introduced to mathematical methods that form the foundation for physics and engineering. The class covers topics in complex analysis and mapping, Fourier series and transform, partial differential equations, and the separation of variables technique for PDEs. In addition, students will be introduced to Laplace transform and the foundations of probability theory. Letter grade with Pass/No Pass option. (Offered fall semester.) 3 credits
