CHEM 310 - Analytical Chemistry I, Lecture and Laboratory

Prerequisite, CHEM 230. Students will learn how to separate, identify and quantify chemical components of complex samples. Students will explore gravimetric, volumetric and introductory instrumental analysis techniques and related theory with particular emphasis on the statistical analysis of data, sample collection, and sample preparation. The course is a foundational course for many careers in chemistry. Letter grade. With consent, this course may be repeated for credit. (Offered fall semester.) 4 credits
