ENTR 425 - Sports & Entertainment Marketing


Prerequisites, ECON 200 , MGSC 209 , BUS 110  or ACTG 210 , ENTR 300 , MKTG 304  or MKTG 305 , and one of the following: BUS 215 , CRPR 312  or ENTR 315 . This course addresses and assesses how marketers in the sports and entertainment industries look at consumer demand, competition, and the financial valuation of the goods and services they offer, and which best translates into a memorable experience. Particular focus will be given to how firms maximize the emotional, tangible and impressionable value of the goods and services offered based on consumers’ discretionary income. Students will learn how sports and entertainment are used to market products and how measurement is calculated to determine return on investment. Letter grade. (Offered spring semester.) 3 credits
