PHRM 535 - Dermatologic and Rheumatologic Disorders


Prerequisites, PHRM 501 , PHRM 511 , PHRM 531 , PHRM 592 , PHRM 622 , PHRM 622L , PHRM 631 , PHRM 641 . This course provides students with an integrated approach to understanding the disease process and therapeutic management of patients with dermatologic, rheumatologic and arthritic disorders. The topics of discussion will include biochemistry, anatomy, immunology, pathophysiology, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, clinical pharmacokinetics, medication therapy management, and clinical sciences related to the presentation and management of dermatologic and rheumatologic disorders. The goal of this course is to enable students to integrate their knowledge of these conditions in the context of formulating an individualized pharmacotherapeutic plan and monitoring/management strategies for a given patient.
