FS 594 - Film and Media Historiography

Prerequisite, FS 552. This course examines the contemporary study of the history of cinema and media within the larger framework of broader debates concerning the nature and methods of historical inquiry as they have evolved in the field of film and media studies. This course also fosters original research skills by familiarizing students with local Southern California archives and libraries, digital repositories, and other important resources that are necessary for archival, primary research-based graduate work.
