CSD 507 - Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Cognitive Aspects of Communication

Prerequisite, communication sciences and disorders major. Course studies include augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), related assistive technology used to aid individuals with complex communication needs (e.g., severe physical impairments, sensory impairments, severe communication disorders, etc.); impact of cognitive, educational, physical, psychosocial, and linguistic aspects of human behavior on AAC use, assessment, intervention, research issues.
