EDUC 513 - Practicum Single Subject

Prerequisite, admitted to the Teacher Credential and/or Master of Arts in Teaching program. Candidates must also verify the following: successful completion of CBEST, successful completion of the prerequisite courses (no grade lower than C+), successful completion of U.S. Constitution course or test requirement, and California Certificate of Clearance (TB and Livescan). This fieldwork experience is designed to be completed during the second term of the Teacher Credential and/or Master of Arts in Teaching program. Candidates are required to work under the supervision of a credentialed teacher in an appropriate public secondary school classroom. Candidates are required to assume co-teaching responsibilities for a total of 64 hours throughout the semester. This practicum course promotes practical application in a classroom setting. Some sections of this course may be held together with EDUC 512. Pass/No Pass. May be repeated once for credit. (Offered every year.) 3 credits
