CSP 605 - California Law and Professional Ethics for Professional Counselors and Psychotherapists


Prerequisites, admissions into the graduate program in School Counseling or School Psychology or consent of instructor. This course examines professional, legal, and ethical issues for counselors, including scope of practice for LPCC, counselor-client privilege, confidentiality, duty to warn, and California laws and regulations governing the practice of counseling in clinical settings. Some sections of this course may be offered as hybrid courses or online only. Pass/No Pass. (Offered as needed.) 1 credit
