The minor is offered for students who have a significant interest in religious studies which they wish to combine with their major course of study.
The total number of credits required for a minor in religious studies is 21. A minimum of 12 credits must be upper-division. A minimum of 12 credits must be REL classes.
All courses in the minor must be taken for a letter grade and passed with a grade of “C” or higher.

Core Requirements (6 credits)
Complete both core courses. The core classes provide a survey of the world religions and an overview of the basic elements of religion, including comparative methods of study. Themes (15 credits)
Students may pursue one of the themes in the Religious Studies minor. Each theme is satisfied by taking 15 credits from among the courses listed under the selected theme below. Artistical/Literary/Cultural Representation of Religions Theme
