Integrated Bachelor’s degree/Master of Science in Accounting

The Argyros School offers a specialized Integrated Bachelor’s degree/Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program for Chapman University undergraduates which enables students to begin taking MSA coursework during their senior year. The Integrated Bachelor’s degree/Master of Science in Accounting is an integrated MSA degree program. Students may take up to 12 credits of graduate coursework during the senior year which can be applied toward the 30 credits required for the MSA. Six graduate credits may be applied toward the 120 credits required for the bachelor’s degree.

Requirements for the Integrated Bachelor’s degree/Master of Science in Accounting are the same as those listed in the Accounting, M.S.  The Integrated Bachelor’s degree/Master of Science in Accounting program is open to undergraduate students who have completed the 18-credit prerequisites noted in the Accounting, M.S.  

Students will focus on career preparation with assistance provided by Argyros Career Services.

Admission deadlines

Prospective students are encouraged to submit their application by the May 1 deadline for full consideration and first priority. 

Scholarships for eligible students are awarded based on the strength of the application. Scholarships are limited, so applicants who feel they are scholarship eligible should apply early.

Admission to the program

Admission to the Chapman Integrated Bachelor’s degree/MSA program is very competitive. Applicants are evaluated on academic performance, leadership potential, volunteer and internship experience and communication skills. Admission to the program may be achieved by the completion of the following requirements:

  1. Submit an application for admission in the spring of their junior year.
  2. Be enrolled as an accounting major at Chapman University and have completed 75 credits or more of undergraduate coursework with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.
  3. Submit two letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with the applicant’s academic or professional abilities.
  4. Complete a personal interview.
