The B.A. in Art History allows students to explore the arts within a broad historical and cultural context. It is an excellent preparation for graduate school and for art-related careers.
Program Learning Outcomes and Educational Effectiveness Evaluation Plans for B.A. in Art History.
Students pursuing the B.A. in Art History are required to:
- Maintain at least a 2.000 grade point average in the major.
- Earn a grade of “C” or higher in major courses, unless specifically noted.
- Complete all courses in the major for a letter grade.
- Complete 21 credits from upper-division courses in the major.
- Complete a minimum of 60 credits outside the discipline of the major.
- Complete the Senior Thesis requirements AH 498a , AH 498b .

*AP placement score of four or five in the Art History exam will waive either AH 200 or AH 201 .
