Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences

The Minor in Image Text Interface with Creative Writing Focus is designed to allow students to work across disciplines to explore the relationships among image, text and medium in creating meaning. Before enrolling in art courses, students must formally declare the associated minor, complete required prerequisites and/or get faculty approval. A minimum of 24 credits, at least 12 of which must be upper division, are required for the Minor in Image Text Interface with Creative Writing Focus.

In planning to complete this minor, students should be aware of prerequisites and also that some courses are offered only in the fall or only in the spring. Once you have declared the Minor in Image Text Interface with Creative Writing Focus, some prerequisites for select art courses are waived; those automatic waivers are noted below, but most prerequisites must be fulfilled.

Students majoring in English (including Creative Writing) cannot declare the Minor in Image Text Interface with Creative Writing Focus; instead, English majors should consider the Minor in Image Text Interface with Graphic Design Focus. All students should consider the limit for counting credits toward major requirements; at least 12 credits in the minor must not be duplicated by the major or any other minor.

For additional information regarding the Minor in Image Text Interface with Creative Writing Focus please contact Dr. Anna Leahy in the Department of English or Professor Claudine Jaenichen in the Department of Art.
