CES 204 - Exploring Theories of Learning

This course explores questions related to how people learn, if they should be taught to learn, and why we forget so much of what was learned in school. To answer these questions, students will examine a body of theories of learning that include Socratic methods, behaviorism, constructivism, cognitive learning theories and situated learning. Letter grade. This course may be repeated for credit. (Offered every semester.) 3 credits
