HUM 307 - Law Stew: The Everything and Anything Law Primer


Law Stew: The Anything and Everything Law Primer orients students to law and law school basics in a fun and engaging way.  Law Stew is a fast-paced class that offers a real-world, eye-opening introduction to the law for anyone contemplating a career in law or policy, or anyone wanting deeper engagement with important legal issues as they unfold. Historical cases juxtaposed to recent/current/ongoing trials will be examined. What can be learned from history?  Where has the U.S. been and where is it going, and what “comes forward” about this nation and society when the past is examined and the future contemplated?  The course will cover a lot of while also learning some law school basics and practical skills for anyone considering a career in law. Letter grade with Pass/No Pass option. (Offered as needed.) 3 credits
