AVE 369 - Intermediate Techniques and Technologies for Visual Effects


Prerequisites, AVE 120  or FP 370 , AVE 202B  and Dodge College major or minor in visual effects. The second in a 3-course series in Procedural Effects techniques. This class is designed for artists who have a foundational understanding of procedural and compositing techniques used in Visual Effects for Film and 3D animation and covers intermediate level techniques. Students will be introduced to more advanced topics such as complex simulations, particle dynamics, fluid effects, and rigging. They will begin to harness powerful node-based workflows to create stunning visual effects and intricate animations. Letter grade. With consent, this course may be repeated for credit. Fee: $75. (Offered spring semester.) 3 credits
