LEAD 396 - Gender and Leadership

Prerequisite, Women and Gender Studies minor/themed inquiry, leadership studies minor/themed inquiry, or consent of the instructor or program director. Examines gender differences in the practice of leadership, communication, ethical decision-making, and moral development. Topics include gender and media representation, identity and intersectionality, gender socialization, feminist approaches, emotional intelligence, work/life balance, workplace family practices, and the effects of bias, stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination. Letter grade. With consent, this course may be repeated for credit. (Offered as needed.) 3 credits
