LEAD 301 - Theory and Practice of Leadership


Prerequisite, Students must be a Leadership Minor, or have the consent of instructor or program director. This course examines leadership from theoretical, historical, and practical perspectives, working with students to put theory into practice. The skills of leadership focus on intrapersonal, inter-personal, and group-level skills. It focuses on skills essential for creating organizations where people can develop their potential as leaders. Topics covered in the course include: leadership styles, communication, motivation, decision-making, integrity, teams, culture, diversity, and change. Letter grade. (Offered every semester.) 3 credits
