FTP 514 - Maneuvering Film Festivals

Students will explore the 5000+ film festivals worldwide, strategize the right ones for their films, create their own brand, posters and press kit, learn from festival programmers and filmmakers on the festival circuit, and learn how to build their audience. They will also work on identifying films which have been accepted into festivals, what was the criteria, and will write up a complete film festival analysis based on “virtually” attending one. Letter grade. (Offered every year.) 3 credits
