FP 623 - Story Development for Thesis

Prerequisites, SW 527, FP 532, film production program with directing emphasis. The course is designed to help filmmakers explore and identify ideas for their thesis projects, while simultaneously cultivating what the film industry needs most: prolific sources of movie ideas. Through in-class exercises and out-of-class projects, students will develop skills for generating viable stories for films of various genres. Story ideas will be workshopped in class to develop the best possible version of these stories. Letter grade. (Offered fall semester.) 3 credits
