PHRM 672 - Research Design, Statistics and Literature Evaluation


This required course consists of lectures, recitations, and laboratory sessions designed to teach pharmacy students how to use the available electronic and print resources to answer drug information questions. In addition, content includes the basics of experimental design, research methodology, and evaluation of the current drug literature. Emphasis is placed on search strategies and provision of drug and toxicology information to health care professionals. Students will explore study design and methodology of drug trials to interpret results in the care of patients. Numerical grading. (Offered every year.) 2 credits
