PHRM 535 - Integrated Therapeutics: Dermatology/Otolaryngology/Rheumatology


Prerequisites, PHRM 601, PHRM 611, PHRM 621, PHRM 622, PHRM 631, PHRM 641 This course provides students with an integrated approach to understanding the disease process and therapeutic management of patients with dermatologic, rheumatologic and arthritic disorders. The topics of discussion will include biochemistry, anatomy, immunology, pathophysiology, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, clinical pharmacokinetics, medication therapy management, and clinical sciences related to the presentation and management of dermatologic and rheumatologic disorders. The goal of this course is to enable students to integrate their knowledge of these conditions in the context of formulating an individualized pharmacotherapeutic plan and monitoring/management strategies for a given patient. Numerical grading. (Offered every year.) 2 credits
