PT 647 - Pediatric Practice Management

Prerequisites, physical therapy major, PT 536, PT 536L, PT 546, PT 546L, and PT 692 or PT 693. This lecture course prepares physical therapy students to meet entry-level physical therapy to pediatric clients in all practice settings. Patient examination, evaluation, goal setting, and intervention will be discussed in relation to commonly encountered pediatric diagnoses. Environmental, cultural, legislative, and legal issues that affect the delivery of care are explored. This course includes a lecture and required laboratory component. Letter grade.
