FP 457 - Concept Art and Illustration for Film

Prerequisite, DCFMA major, or production design for film minor. This class includes weekly exercises in using perspective drawings to communicate design ideas with the emphasis on freehand drawing techniques. Topics include perspective layout methods, line drawing overlays, adding light and shadow as well as introducing color to the drawings. Students are required to complete and deliver a variety of in-class drawing exercises, a series of homework sketches as well as sketches of projects designed in class. Letter grade. Fee: $75.
