MUS 433 - Foundations of Music Education

Prerequisites, MUS 231, consent of instructor. The purpose of this course is for students to gain an overview of the historical, cultural, and philosophical foundations that have shaped and directed music education in America and abroad, and, thereby, to provide the tools for formulating a personal philosophy of music education. Some sections of MUS 433 may be taught with MUS 533. (Offered as needed.) 3 credits
