Business of Entertainment requirements
The Business of Entertainment is an interdisciplinary program offering undergraduate students the opportunity to explore and excel in several growth areas of the entertainment industry including entrepreneurship, sports, gaming, new media, music, live events and XR.
This minor will offer students who prefer not to work on set or learn the intricacies of production a lane to learn the business aspects of entertainment with an eye toward employment in both the traditional and online studio systems.
This minor is not open to minors in Entrepreneurship.

Application Requirements
Consistent with minors offered at Dodge College, admission into the minor is subject to an application process. The eligibility requirements for adding the minor are:
The application consists of:
- Change of program form
- Career plan essay (200 words)
- Resume
- Program evaluation
Applications will be reviewed by the program coordinators at both Dodge College and the Argyros School of Business and Economics. The number of admissions will be subject to capacity constraints at both schools.
Students pursuing a minor in The Business of Entertainment must
- Complete 24 credits.
- Maintain at least a 2.000 overall grade point average in the minor.
- Complete all courses in the minor for a letter grade.
- Earn a minimum of a “C-” grade in each course for credit toward the minor.
- Complete a minimum of 12 upper-division credits.
- Ensure that 12 credits (4 courses) are taken outside the major program of study. See specific elective restrictions on Business Administration BS students.
