The Sound Design Minor offers students the opportunity to develop the artistic and practical skills needed to tell stories creatively using the expressive potential of sound. During their course of study students will learn the complete sound design workflow from sound recording to the final mix.

The application requirements for the Sound Design Minor are the same as for all the other minors in Dodge College. See the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts current student portal under Academics/Change of Program for application guidelines for current students.

This minor is not available to students enrolled in the BFA in Film and Television Production.

Students pursuing a minor in Sound Design must:

Earn an overall GPA of 2.000 for all required major courses.
Complete all courses in the minor for a letter grade.
Complete 12 upper division credits
