Environmental Studies, Minor

The Minor in Environmental Studies is designed to offer students a sound foundation in the scientific, political and cultural approaches to studying the environment. Students electing the Minor in Environmental Studies may study in a broad range of subject areas, including sociology, economics, philosophy and political science.

Students pursuing a Minor in Environmental Studies are required to:

  • Complete a minimum of 21 credits in the minor, 12 of which cannot be duplicated by coursework in the student’s major or any other minor(s).
  • Complete a minimum of 12 upper-division credits.
  • Complete a minimum of 6 upper-division credits in residence.
