Students pursuing the Master of Arts in Film Studies degree are held to the University’s Academic Policies and Procedures . In addition these specific degree standards apply:
- Complete 36 credits at the 500 or 600 level.
- Minimum grade “C+” or above required in all coursework.
- Maintain 3.000 GPA in the degree.
- Successfully complete the thesis project FS 697 , FS 698 .
- Pass an oral defense of the thesis project.
Continuous enrollment requirement
Continuous enrollment is required throughout the master’s program. Students who have not yet successfully defended their thesis and are not enrolled in any other courses must register for FS 698A or FS 698B for a minimum of one credit each term to fulfill the continuous enrollment requirement. The maximum time allowed for completion of the master’s degree is seven years.
