Students pursuing the Master of Fine Arts in Production Design degree are held to the University’s Academic Policies and Procedures . In addition these specific degree standards apply:

Complete 57 credits at the 500 or 600 level.
Minimum grade “C+” or above required in all coursework.
Maintain 3.000 GPA in the degree.
Successfully complete the thesis project.

PD 537 - Cinematography for Production Designers 1½ credits
PD 557 - Concept Art and Illustration for Film 3 credits
PD 558 - Digital Production Design Studio I 3 credits
PD 581 - Set Decoration 3 credits

first year (33 credits) - interterm requirement (3 credits)

PD 580 - Stagecraft Construction and Scenic Art for Film Production 3 credits

first year (33 credits) - spring requirements (16½ credits)

PD 519 - Production Design Workshop II 3 credits
PD 539 - Directing for Production Designers 1½ credits
PD 555 - Production Design for Animation and Visual Effects 3 credits
PD 556 - Storyboarding and Concept Art 3 credits

second year (24 credits) - fall requirements (12 credits)
