The Pre-Pharmacy Freshman Early Assurance Program (FEAP) is a 2 + 3 PharmD Degree Program for academically exceptional graduating high school students interested in the profession of pharmacy. Students accepted into this program complete the Chapman University School of Pharmacy (CUSP) course prerequisites at Chapman University in Orange, CA, in two years and receive a conditional acceptance into the Chapman University School of Pharmacy PharmD program. After completion of the prerequisites and fulfillment of the special admission requirements, students would matriculate into the three-year Doctor of Pharmacy program at the Rinker Health Science Campus in Irvine, CA.

FEAP Benefits

  1. Guaranteed 5% scholarship for the Pharm.D. program, availability of an additional 5, 10, or 15% Pharm.D. scholarship based on your cumulative GPA at the end of the fall semester of your second year, and availability of a 10% scholarship based on your PCAT cumulative percentile score.
  2. Ability to take the PCAT in July, after completing the FEAP program, rather than by February of your second year of undergrad.
  3. Guaranteed Admission into the Pharm.D. Program if the student does well during the FEAP to CUSP Pharm.D. Interview Day that occurs during the fall of the second undergraduate year.

Program Requirements:

  • Maintain a cumulative prerequisite GPA of at least 3.0 (excluding semester 1), and have no more than 1 semester with GPA between 2.6 and 3.0 and have no semester GPA below 2.6
  • A minimum of 13 credits per semester and 30 credits per academic year must be taken at Chapman University for the first two years of the program; however, all 66 credits must be completed by the end of the spring semester of the second year.
  • Complete all prerequisite classes for a letter grade.
  • No grade below a C in any prerequisite class.
  • Students who fail to meet any of the program requirements in the first year will lose their FEAP status and all FEAP benefits. In the second year, students who have been admitted into the Pharm.D. program and fail to meet the program requirements, based on their fall semester coursework will not be eligible for any scholarship funding for the Pharm.D. program, will lose the privilege of taking the PCAT in July, and must take the PCAT by the end February. Students who fail to meet the program requirements based on their spring semester coursework, will not be eligible for any scholarship funding for the Pharm.D. program.
