This minor is open only to Integrated Educational Studies majors.
The Minor in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education prepares the candidate with a breadth of STEM courses in order to prepare for future careers in education and related STEM fields. Admission to the minor requires approval from the integrated educational studies STEM education advisor. Successful completion of MATH 109 - Calculus with Applications in Business and Social Science , MATH 110 - Single Variable Calculus I , or equivalent is a prerequisite for admission to the minor.
Students pursuing the Minor in Language and Literacy are required to:
- Take all courses in the minor for a letter grade.
- Complete all courses with a “C-” or higher.
- Ensure that 12 credits are upper division and that at least 6 credits of the upper-division credits are completed in residency.
- Complete 12 unique credits in the minor that are not duplicated in any other major or minor program in which the student is enrolled.
- Complete a minimum of 24 credits.
