FIN 400 - A Walk Down Wall Street

Prerequisites, FIN 317 with a minimum grade of C-, consent of instructor. An examination of the practical operation of financial markets and the functions of the major players within the markets. The class will visit New York City for one week and will seek to tour the New York Stock Exchange, the NASDAQ Marketsite, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Meetings will be scheduled with a variety of firms selected from investment banks, money managers, and financial information providers. Letter grade. Fee: TBD (Offered interterm.) 3 credits
