PHRM 773 - Academic Pharmacy 1: An Apple for the Teacher

Prerequisite, PHRM 501. Students will explore the framework of academic pharmacy from the perspective of an administrative faculty member. Students will develop their knowledge base regarding the history of pharmacy education and accreditation in the US, and become familiar with the academic pharmacy professional association, the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). In addition, students will explore the administrative infrastructures and the roles and requirements of faculty members in US schools/colleges of pharmacy. This is part one of the two-part series of courses on academic pharmacy. PHRM 774 is the second part. Letter grade. (Offered as needed.) 1 credit
