PHRM 641 - Immunologic Basis of Diseases and Drug Action


Prerequisites, PHRM 521 , PHRM 581 , PHRM 591 , PHRM 601 , PHRM 611 , PHRM 621 , PHRM 621L , doctor of pharmacy major. This required course is an introduction to the immune response and the role of the immune system in inflammatory diseases, hypersensitivity, solid organ transplantation, cancer, and immunity to infection. The components of the human immune system; formation, structure, and action of antigens and antibodies; and the current preventive and therapeutic measures that exert their actions by interacting with the immune system will be discussed. (Offered every year.) 2 credits
