TWP 565 - The Game of Television


The Game of Television is a role-playing simulation of the business of television which explores the aesthetic, sociological, economic, demographic, and technological trends that impact television programming decisions - what gets on the air and what stays on the air. As members of the television community (network executives, producers, and advertisers) students define what constitutes success, as they face trade-offs between commercial viability, artistic merit, advertiser demands, and public pressure. Letter grade. (Offered every semester.) 3 credits
