EDUC 693 - Strategies and Supports for the 21st Century Inclusive Classroom

This course is designed to unpack the Common Core Standards and create a framework of opportunities for teachers to break down learning goals with all students in mind (students with disabilities, English Language Learners, students of diverse backgrounds). Topics that will be explored include: designing inclusive lesson plans using the Common Core Standards, infusing evidence-based strategies and supports, and developing appropriate accommodations, modifications, and adaptations that can be integrated into the Common Core Standards. Finally, this course will address differentiated instruction and using a variety of formative and summative assessments throughout the learning process that are inclusive of all students.
