MATH 99 - Intermediate Algebra


Prerequisite, MATH 98 . This course is designed to fill the needs of those students whose mathematical training is not sufficient to meet the prerequisites of college level courses requiring mathematical skills. Topics include equations with absolute values, compound inequalities, inequalities involving absolute value, the slope of a line, the equation of a line, the concept of a function, composition of functions, rational exponents and roots, quadratic functions, and quadratic equations, rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions. The course meets for 4 hours per week. P/NP. (Offered every semester.) 3 non-degree credits
