MUS 128 - Fundamentals of Music Theory

Prerequisite, music technology minor, or any other non-music major, or non-music minor. This course is designed for students who wish to further their knowledge of the inner-workings of music. The objective is to develop musical vocabulary and critical listening skills, which will include in-depth analysis of song forms. The course will cover music notation, scales and modes, key signatures, intervals, triads, lead-sheet notation, chords, and basic aural skills. (Offered as needed.) 3 credits
