About the Elementary Education Minor

The minor in Elementary Education prepares the candidate with specific pedagogical preparation necessary for a career that includes teaching in the elementary school setting or working with children in other educational settings.

Take all courses in the minor for a letter grade
Complete all courses with a “C” or higher
Ensure that 12 credits are upper division and that at least 6 credits of the upper-division credits are completed in residency
Complete 12 unique credits in the minor that are not duplicated in any other major or minor program in which the student is enrolled
