Asian American Studies, Minor

Asian American studies is an interdisciplinary minor that examines the history of Asians in America. This minor draws from the sociological theory, history, literature, anthropology and other disciplines to critically examine the experiences of Americans of Asian descent.

Students pursuing a minor in Asian American Studies must:

  • Complete a minimum of 21 credits in the minor, 12 of which cannot be duplicated by coursework in the student’s major or any other minor(s).
  • Complete a minimum of 12 upper-division credits.
  • Complete a minimum of 6 upper-division credits in residence.

Take all courses in the minor for a letter grade.
