Integrated Bachelor’s degree/Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education (Single Subject Credential)

The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Teaching (MAT) degree in the Attallah College of Educational Studies offers an integrated program option for undergraduate students that enables them to begin taking M.A. course work in the senior year of their bachelor’s degree program, thus lowering the number of credits to be completed post-baccalaureate and thereby the cost of the master’s degree program. The integrated option is designed principally for students from across the university who are interested in pursuing a teaching credential in a single subject content area. This option offers selected exceptional students a seat in Chapman University’s MAT program and makes them eligible for scholarship money awarded to outstanding, incoming master’s students.
