The mission of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies is to provide an exceptional medical education that inspires compassionate and collaborative PAs who enhance access to high-quality patient care. The Department of Physician Assistant Studies offers a Master of Medical Sciences (M.M.S.) degree. The M.M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies prepares graduates for entry into the practice of medicine. The graduate must have the skills and knowledge to function in a broad variety of clinical situations and render a wide spectrum of patient care. It is essential for good patient care to require minimum standards for the education of the physician assistant.
