SW 512 - Writing the Animated Pilot

Prerequisite, The Showrunner Program Major or Screenwriting Major. Building on the student’s previous narrative writing experience, this course provides an intensive study of writing for primetime adult animation such as King of the Hill, Family Guy and Bojack Horseman. Students will learn about plot, structure and characters, then apply this information to create their own animated pilot scripts. Letter grade. This course may be repeated for credit. (Offered every semester.) 3 credits
