PHS 601 - Responsible Conduct of Research


This required course will focus on the ethics of conducting pharmaceutical and biomedical research and education, regulatory impact and implications, and discovery, design, commercialization, and application of biopharmaceuticals. MSPS and Ph.D. trainees will learn to identify and appropriately address ethical dilemmas and integrate these concepts into their research. MSPS trainees will be provided with the ethical values and principles in research, such as responsible research conducts, data management, authorship and peer review, collaborative work, scientific record keeping, intellectual property, responsible use and welfare of animals and humans in biomedical experimentations. Letter grade. (Offered as needed.) 1 credit
