PHIL 326 - Food Ethics

Food is a very familiar part of human life, and its study reveals the complex social, economic, and moral relations between people and institutions. This course will explore themes in multicultural moral philosophy through the lens of food and agriculture. Topics include vegetarianism and veganism, cannibalism, world hunger, global trade, animal rights, religious diversity, GMOs, and more. Letter grade with Pass/No Pass option. (Offered as needed.) 3 credits
