DANC 453 - Dance History: Forces and Figures

Prerequisites, dance, or dance performance major, or dance minor and senior standing, or consent of chair. This course is a comprehensive comparative study of dance in the 20th and 21st centuries. The focus is on significant trends and individuals who shaped the development of modern dance, ballet, jazz and vernacular dance in the modern era. Letter grade with Pass/No Pass option. (Offered fall semester.) 3 credits
