PHRM 790 - Selected Topics in Men’s Health


This course provides a contemporary appraisal of selected male-specific health conditions and diseases founded on in-depth discussions of their pathophysiology, as well as their current therapeutic treatments. Topics include testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), erectile dysfunction (ED), benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer. In this course, students will critically evaluate current scientific literature supporting the use of new therapeutic modalities and present on topics of clinical relevance. Applying principles of evidence-based medicine to support clinical recommendations will be emphasized.  Numerical grading. (Offered as needed.) 1 credit
